Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RRT Academy (the "Service"), operated at rrtacademy.com and rrt.academy. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Educational purpose
RRT Academy provides exam-preparation content — practice questions, calculators, and an AI tutor — for respiratory therapy students preparing for NBRC credentialing exams. The Service is for educational study purposes only and is not a substitute for your program's curriculum, clinical training, or supervising instructors.
2. Independence from the NBRC
RRT Academy is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). All content is created by RRT Academy and is not sourced from, and does not reproduce, any NBRC examination materials.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
4. Plans, billing and renewals
Paid plans grant access to premium features as described at the time of purchase. We offer two billing types, and the type is stated on the pricing page and in your Stripe receipt before you pay:
Recurring (Premium Monthly) — automatic renewal. Premium Monthly is a subscription that renews automatically. Your payment method is charged the monthly price shown before you subscribe, plus applicable taxes, on the day you subscribe (or, with a free trial, on the day the trial ends) and on the same day each month after that, until you cancel. Before checkout you are shown these terms and asked to confirm them, and we email you a confirmation.
Free trial. When a free trial is offered, it is available once per student to new members who have not previously purchased a plan, and requires a payment method. Nothing is charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically when it ends and your payment method is charged the monthly price plus applicable taxes. We email you a reminder before the first charge. If you cancel during the trial you will not be charged and you keep access until the end of the trial.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, online, from Account → Membership & Billing — no email or call is needed. Cancellation stops all future charges; you keep access through the end of the trial or the period already paid for, and we confirm the cancellation by email. We do not refund a period that has begun, except where required by law. If a renewal payment fails we may retry it and access may continue for a short grace period while we do; if payment is not completed, access ends. Price changes apply only to periods beginning after we notify you.
One-time (Exam Ready, Deep Prep Plus). A single payment for a fixed access window, stated before purchase. Nothing renews and you are not charged again.
Holding more than one plan at once is permitted; your access resolves to whichever grants the most, and buying a plan never shortens access you have already paid for.
Deep Prep Plus is governed by its terms page, which is authoritative: it provides 365 days of access and, for eligible students who do not pass the covered exam, one additional 90-day extension running from the original expiry date or the approval date, whichever is later. It does not provide a cash refund.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: resell or redistribute Service content; use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content; attempt to reverse-engineer the question bank; or use the AI tutor for purposes unrelated to exam preparation, including attempts to extract harmful, unsafe, or unrelated content.
6. No clinical use
Calculators and explanations provided by the Service (including the ABG and ventilator tools and the AI tutor) are educational study aids. They are not intended for use in real patient care, diagnosis, or treatment decisions. Always follow your facility's protocols and the guidance of licensed, supervising clinicians.
7. Intellectual property
All questions, rationales, calculators, and content are original works owned by RRT Academy. You may use them for personal study; you may not copy, republish, or distribute them.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is." We work to keep content accurate and sourced to current guidelines, with clinician review in progress, but we don't guarantee any specific exam outcome, and we don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RRT Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
