My story
Built from experience, not theory.
I believe education has the power to change lives. After retiring from the United States military, I made the decision to pursue a career in respiratory therapy — a field I knew would let me serve people in a meaningful, direct way.
When I started preparing for the NBRC, I quickly realized the existing resources weren't built for the way today's students learn. Most were outdated, heavily text-based, and designed around rote memorization. They told you what to remember — but almost never why it mattered clinically.
I wanted something more. I wanted interactive simulations that behaved like real ventilators. I wanted an AI tutor that could meet me where I was — at 11pm between shifts — and actually explain the reasoning behind every concept. I wanted a question bank built by credentialed RTs, not scraped from the internet.
